The Indian Packages - Commendations Dear Ankit,   We have arrived back safely and thank God for it. I just wanted to say on behalf of my family how wonderful the holiday was. We were all very pleased as everything went very smoothly and we were very comfortable. We have no complaints whatsoever. Thanks for your wonderful service and your caring  nature and we felt very well cared for and very safe. The accomodation was very comfortable. The guides you picked were very good and the driver was exceptional. We enjoyed the sightseeing and was wonderful and a great learning experience. You also tailor-made it for us so everyone was comfortable as you know travelling with teenagers can be challenging. Kind regards Nuru, (Charles, Ebony and Eno) (South Africa, Tanzania) Dear Ankit, Sorry for not responding to you earlier.  I have been busy with work and traveling the world.  Just complete trip to Japan.  Truly amazing country.  Opposite of India, but both have very nice parts to see.The vacation to Leh was very nice.  I enjoyed the city and country very well.  The hotel stayed in was very nice. .  All the people at the hotel were very nice.  The guide was also very good.  He kept me organized for the several days I was there.  English was good.  He taught me alot about the area.  On my side trips, I really liked the trip to Pangong.  Pangong Lake was a much more peaceful sight and very cool because the lake was frozen over. I decided not to go to India this month as its very very hot in West Bengal where my husband works. As 6 months pregnant, its just not going to be enjoyable!! Meantime, we have some nice memories from our time at Manali. In terms of feedback for you as operator, I can note the following: - the hotel and car/transport was very nice and reasonable value - 'instructor' was a nice guy etc, we didn't need him other than as a point of contact at the 'snowfield' - it was a nice space to be in...i really enjoyed the atmosphere and people/town of Manali -the consultant (Ankit) did his very best to try to meet our needs and at the same time secure a sale. He seems very conscientious and should have a good future in this line of work ! I hope this is helpful to you. We had a trip to Kerala organized for us by Ankit at SS Holiday Makers, including travel to and from Mumbai. The trip was an enormous success for us all: me my husband and our two teenage children. We were met at the airport by our driver, who was delightful throughout. All the organisation was excellent and the hotels chosen by the tour operator were all very good. My only reservations were (a) that we tried to fit too much into a short time and didn't have enough time to see anything in detail and (b) we did not enjoy our night on a barge on the backwaters; if you do do this, I recommend that you choose the most luxurious option or just take an afternoon trip! It wasn't comfortable on the boat. SS Holiday Makers were very helpful throughout. Kind regards Rebecca (UK) Hello, SS Holiday Makers and my contact there, Dhruv Gehlot, were absolutely delightful! Dhruv and all of his contacts were very accommodating. My party of 7 last summer were coming in on different flights and had some very tight schedules in order to get to a wedding...and SS Holiday Makers Tour company tailored our tour for each of us very comfortably. Our wedding was in Chennai and we really only had 3 full days to tour the Golden Triangle...but Dhruv made the whole experience trouble-free and relaxing. I recall that he was managing a 30 day tour for a group of Australians in eastern India at the same time. They know the country intimately, they will work with you if you have any questions or special needs, they took extra effort to make sure we felt safe and secure throughout the trip--without being stifling in any way, their drivers were very experienced, and the tour guides in each location spoke excellent English and were very hospitable. And they are very competitive re: cost compared to tour companies based in the UK or US. My recommendation would be that you explain fully your objectives and preferences, your schedule constraints, and any special requests so that they understand the whole context of your trip plan. I would look up the hotels they recommend just to make sure that you are aligned on your expectation of what a 3-5 star hotel is, and again, the more they understand about your expectations and context, the more they will be able to make it work for you and your traveling companions. Dhruv was available by cell phone throughout our tour and if we had any problem, they worked it and resolved it within hours. I was the "organizer" for my group of friends and I found Dhruv to be so easy to work with during the planning of the trip--and very trustworthy with transparent bank relationships when it was time to wire transfer funds, etc. I highly recommend them. And they are much less expensive than UK or US based companies. (By the way, booking in-country flights--ie, Delhi to Goa, for example--will be much more expensive if you are a foreigner booking on line. Let SS Holiday Makers book and secure your in-country flights as they have better knowledge of the airports and schedules. There are a handful of "SW Airlines" type commuter carriers in India and Indian residents get better fares.) The HIGHLIGHT of our trip (my girlfriend & I travelled together) to India was the professionalism in which our trip was handled.We were met at all airports on time by a most obliging driver. We had many internal flights and even once when our flight was an hour & a half late, a driver was there, waiting.All accommodation was excellent.
